Breakage rate on glass packaging
The situation

Glass bottles broke too often at the previous partner.

GlowLab Amsterdam had been with a fulfilment partner in Roosendaal since 2019. GlowLab's products are fragile: glass bottles and jars of serums and perfumes. The previous partner didn't pack them properly, so too many broke in transit. Customers received damaged parcels, and every breakage meant a return, a refund and a new shipment.

"During busy periods the breakage rate climbed sharply. Every broken bottle cost us twice: the product itself, and the customer's trust." Iris van Dijk, founder

What PackFeed did

How PackFeed brought breakage down to under 0.4%.

Intervention 01

Protective packing for glass

Glass bottles and jars go into shock-absorbing sleeves with double inner packaging. As a result, GlowLab's breakage rate dropped to under 0.4%.

Intervention 02

Returns processed within 24 hours

Every returned item is inspected, photographed and, if it's in good condition, back in stock within 24 hours. For a broken parcel, PackFeed arranges the refund and reshipment right away.

Intervention 03

Safe shipping of perfumes

Perfumes and alcohol-based products are stored and shipped separately in line with the applicable transport regulations. That way they arrive safely, even abroad.

Intervention 04

Branded packaging

Orders leave the warehouse in GlowLab's own packaging (box, tissue paper and a thank-you card), so unboxing feels like the brand itself.

Since PackFeed started packing our bottles, hardly any damaged parcels arrive anymore. Our breakage rate has plummeted and our customers notice the difference.
